Candle Care
Before lighting your candle, always trim the wick to about 5mm. This simple step ensures a clean, even burn every time.
Next, burn your candle for no longer than three hours in one session. Doing so helps extend its life while preventing soot and tunneling.
When only 10mm of wax remains, it’s time to discontinue burning. This keeps the glass vessel safe from overheating or cracking.
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep it away from drafts, open windows, or items that could catch fire.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always keep it out of reach of children and pets for complete peace of mind.
Finally, when lighting multiple candles, space them at least 100mm (10cm) apart. This allows heat to disperse evenly and ensures a safer, longer-lasting burn.

Can I Recycle My Metro Candle?
Yes! The glass vessels used for ECOYA candles are fully recyclable.
However, before placing them in your recycling bin, follow a few simple steps. First, remove any leftover wax and the wick tab. When your candle has about 10 mm of wax remaining, place it in the freezer for a day or two. As the wax cools, it contracts and separates from the glass. Then, turn the vessel upside down and tap the base gently the wax and wick tab should drop out easily.
Next, clean the vessel thoroughly. Use warm, soapy water and a soft cloth to remove any remaining residue. Once clean, the glass is ready for recycling.
Alternatively, reuse your vessel creatively. Store cotton buds, makeup brushes, or even pens and stationery. With a little care, your Metro Candle jar can live on beautifully and sustainably.

This is not a fluffy vanilla, but a very grounding deep vanilla with tonka. Tonka has a dark caramel like flavour and is slightly gourmand. Very lovely for colder weather and excellent scent throw. Ecoya is my favourite brand candle.
